(Electromagnetic Compatibility) Directive. The
MaviGard products have been approved by
Kazakhstan, Oman, Bahrain and United Arab
Emirates Civil Defence authorities. MaviGard gas
detectors are approved for use by Russian Federal
Department of Ecological, Technological and Atomic
Energy Supervision.

Available with 1, 2 or 4 loops, each capable of hosting up to 127
addressable devices. Harezmic panels use the most advanced
microprocessor technology to provide a control system of highest level
of integrity.
A total of 32 panels and/or repeater panels can be assembled into a
network, thus providing a fire protection system for large-sized sites.
Panel LCD (2 strokes x 40 columns) with backlight provides detailed
alarm, fault and general system information. Silk screen label, LCD and
panel software (Loop manager) are available in 3 languages: English,
Turkish, and Russian. The LCD shows real-time analogue measurement
of detectors.
Addressable devices in Harezmic system can be grouped into 48 zones.
Each zone has a fire alarm signal indicator on front panel.
Interface modules provide building security control automation. Analogue
addressable detectors, addressable manual call points and interface
modules are programmed by use of Loop manager to be included into
cause-effect schemes.
Panels have password secured access levels, which prevent unauthorized
changing of the settings in the system.
The 4 sounder and 3 relay outputs are fully programmable like any
addressable device in the system. The outputs can be set to delay up
to 999sec. on reception of fire or fault alarm event by the control panel.
'Delay active' indicator illuminates on front panel when outputs are set
to delay.
Upon connecting an external printer with RS-232 input, the incoming
events are automatically printed out. The event log can also be sent
to printer from the panel menu. The printed log has detailed information
on fire and fault events as well as passing access levels of the panel
menu.
Uses its own unique VIP protocol which is developed by Mavili Elektroniks
R&D engineers.

MG-9100 Photo-electric smoke detector
Photo-electric smoke detector utilises the light scatter sensing
principle. It has an infrared light source, which emits signals and a
photo-diode, which senses the scattering light with the effect of
smoke entering the chamber. The chamber is protected with thin
metal mesh for protection from dust, insects and other external
interferences. The detectors are EN 54-7 and EMC Directive
89/336/EEC certified.
MG-9200 Ionisation smoke detector
Ionisation smoke detector has twin room ionisation chamber to
prevent the interference of excessive humidity and heat. One of the
rooms functions as a reference and the other as the sampling one.
The chamber is protected with thin metal mesh for protection from
dust, insects and other external interferences. The detectors are EN
54-7 and EMC Directive 89/336/EEC certified.
MG-9300 Heat detector
Heat detector detects temperature change by a temperature-sensitive
thermistor. The detector can function either as a fixed heat or rate
of rise heat detector. The design of the chamber provides sensitive
ambient temperature measurement. The detectors are EN 54-5 and
EMC Directive 89/336/EEC certified.
MG-9400 Multisensor (photo-electric smoke + heat detector)
The multisensor has photoelectric smoke detection chamber and a
temperature-sensitive thermistor. The chamber is protected with
thin metal mesh for protection from dust, insects and other external
interferences. The design of the chambers provides maximum
sensitivity to smoke and temperature change. The detectors are
EMC Directive 89/336/EEC certified.

The modules are used for activation of external equipment such as lifts, dampers
etc. in case of fire or fault event as defined in cause-effect scheme. The MG-6100
model has one relay output with volt free changeover contact, which can operate
in both normally open and normally closed modes. The module is loop-powered
and has three indicators: 'Loop polling', 'Activation', and 'Fault'.
The MG-6108 model has 8 outputs, each having a separate address.
MG-6200 Switch monitor
MG-6208 Switch monitor, 8-way input
The modules are used for monitoring of external devices such as sprinkler system,
alarm inputs, general purpose fire prevention devices, control contacts and other
security outputs. The MG-6200 model has one volt free input, which can monitor
both normally open and normally closed contacts. The module is loop-powered
and has two indicators: 'Loop polling' and 'Fault'.
The MG-6208 model has 8 inputs, each having a separate address.
MG-6300 Sounder controller
MG-6308 Sounder controller, 8-way output
The modules are used for activation of external sounders and sounder strobes as
defined in cause-effect scheme. Sounder circuit is continuously monitored for open
and short circuits. The MG-6300 model has three indicators: 'Loop polling', 'Activation',
and 'Fault'.
The MG-6308 model has 8 outputs, each having a separate address.
MG-6400 Zone monitor
MG-6408 Zone monitor, 8-way input
The modules are used for expanding the fire alarm control system with conventional
zones, each capable of hosting up to 20 detectors and unlimited number of manual
call points. Zone circuits of the module are continuously monitored for open and
short circuits. The MG-6400 model has two indicators: 'Loop polling' and 'Fault'.
The MG-6408 model has 8 inputs, each having a separate addres.
MG-6500 Short circuit isolator
The module is used for isolation of the loop sector affected by short circuit, thus
preserving the healthy operating of the rest of the loop. It is recommended to
connect one short circuit isolator module per 20 addressable devices. The module
deactivates automatically as soon as short circuit condition ends. The module is
not addressable.
MG-8100 Manual call point and 2 terminal red back box (MG-8101)
MG-8110 Resettable manual call point and 2 terminal red back box (MG-8101)
The MG-8100 manual call point is activated by breaking of the film-coated glass.
The film protects the fingers from harm during breaking. When the glass is broken,
the switch, normally resting on glass edge, changes position and retains it till new
glass is mounted.
The MG-8110 is a resettable manual call point, which features flexible plastic cover.
The resettable type MCP is the best solution where no break glass type MCPs are
applicable. The manual call points are equipped with a red LED, which blinks on
polling and illuminates on activation.
MG-8200 Address programmer
Analogue addressable detectors, manual call points and modules have microprocessor
based design, which enables soft addressing from 1 to 127. The Address Programmer
is used for both address setting and displaying the measured analogue value; this
feature enables detecting the pollution level in the smoke detector chamber.

MG-6600 Addressable loop-powered sounder
The sounder gives single tone 100dB(A) output at 1m and has low power
consumption, which enables connecting up to 10 sounders per loop. Like other
addressable devices in the Harezmic fire alarm control system, the sounder is
addressed by use of the Address Programmer and fully programmable in Loop
Manager for inclusion in cause-effect configurations. The sounder is designed for
indoor use and holds IP42 rating.

CAPABILITIES
Protocol features
The system operates on VIP (Very Intelligent Communication Protocol),
developed by R&D of Mavili Elektronik. Loop polling is performed in
7.5sec. The number of connected addressable devices does not affect
the loop polling period. The protocol has polling interrupt feature on
reception of fire alarm event: in case of exceeding the threshold value,
polling is interrupted, and the panel checks the measured value of the
detector several times in 1.5sec. If the measured value is higher than
the threshold, the panel takes the decision to initiate fire alarm signal.
Fault events are also checked according to the algorithm of multýple
measurement. Polling is protected against electromagnetic interferences
by parity check, which provides healthy data reception and transmitting.
Main capabilities
The system may host up to 32 panels and/or repeater panels via RS-
485 interface. 4 loops with 127 addressable devices enable assembling
16256 addressable devices in a single network, thus making the
Harezmic fire alarm control system capable of protecting large-sized
sites. Maximum loop cable length is 1500m. The MG-6400 Zone
monitor module provides connecting a conventional zone (20 detectors
and unlimited number of manual call points) and thus expands the
protection area. Soft addressing of all addressable devices is performed
by use of MG-8200 Address programmer, which also displays the
analogue value of the detectors. An optional external printer with RS-
232 input can be used to print out the event log manually or automatically
as events are received by the panel. The event log contains registered
fire and fault events with data on device type, location text, address,
date and time.
Site automation monitoring and control
The MG-6100 Relay controller can be used for controlling damper,
smoke extractors, lifts, ventilation or any other equipment. The MG-
6200 Switch monitor performs monitoring of sprinkler extinguishant
system, gas detector or any other external device. In this way, monitoring
of external devices and systems as well as forming necessary commands
for site automation systems are held. By use of the MG-6300 Sounder
controller a loop can be equipped with programmable and supervised
sounders. The algorithm of monitoring and controlling functions is set
by use of computer software - Loop manager.

Advanced settings of Harezmic analogue addressable fire alarm control system
are made by use of Loop manager specially developed PC software available
in 3 languages: English, Turkish and Russian. The program features user-
friendly graphical interface operating under Windows
TM
. Communication
between the panel and the PC is held via RS-232 interface cable.

Device configuration
The program enables assembling arbitrary number of addressable devices
into zones, creating cause-effect schemes of monitoring and controlling
modules as well as panel outputs activation, setting activation delay to
outputs. A 40-character location text can be assigned to each addressable
device to ease identification of location of fire and fault events.
Setting cause-effect algorithm
A device-specific cause-effect algorithm is used to set complex fire security

and outputs can be included in a cause-effect as well as panels 3 relay and
4 sounder outputs, which are fully programmable like any addressable device
in the system.
The logical principles
The following logical principles define activation of controller modules (MG-
6100 Relay controller and MG-6300 Sounder controller) and panel outputs:
OR - outputs activation from any of the selected devices.
COINCIDENCE - outputs activation from any two of the selected devices.
AND - outputs activation from all of the selected devices.
Moreover, controller modules activation property can be set to particular
event type: fire or fault.
Configuration layout
The Loop manager features viewing cause-effect configuration and printing
out system configuration with detailed information on each device, delay
settings, zonal affiliations and location texts.

A wide range of detectors are supported by the equipment, ensuring
that the SD64+ series control panels can be used with existing
installations without the need to change field devices.
In SD64+ series, it is possible to disable the zones of the system. This
may be required if there is work in progress in the building, which may
cause faulty operation of the fire alarm control system. 'Disable' indicator
on the the front panel illuminates when control panel is on disable
mode.
The test mode of SD64+ enables the system to be tested single-
handed. On Test mode, fire alarm signal automatically resets after few
seconds to eliminate the need for returning to the control panel to
reset the system. 'Test' indicator illuminates on the front panel during
the testing.
In SD64+ series, it is also possible to program a standard delay time
for sounder outputs. Delay time is 2 minutes. 'Delay Active' indicator
on front panel illuminates when control panel is on delay mode.
Front panel controls and indicators are kept to minimum to simplify
user operation and to maintain clarity of indication. Zonal fire and fault
indicators in rows are used on all front panels. The panels are supplied
with switched mode power supply and generous battery space to give
extended battery stand by if required.
SD64+ series control panels have an electronic charger circuit limiting
the ampere level. SD64+ series provide continuous monitoring of the
charge level and automatic charger cut facility, when charging is finished.
If the battery level falls under operating voltage level, the control panel
automatically goes off.
Up to 8 TP64+ conventional repeater panels can be assembled with
a fire alarm control panel into a network.
A relay output can be assigned to each zone by installing a relay module.

The panel has 2 digit display, which shows the zone number, where
fire, gas and/or fault alarm is detected. The panel also has 8 indicators
for various fault conditions.
All models have cabinets with the same standard size.
A zone can host up to 20 conventional detectors and unlimited number
of manual call points.
Each sounder output can host up to 16 sounders with alarm current
consumption of 30mA.
Conventional zone cicuits and sounder circuits are continuously
monitored for open circuit and short circuit faults.
Panel cabinet has cable entries on top and back sides.
The panels use 12V DC 2.1Ah batteries. If the battery voltage falls
under operating level, the control panel automatically goes off.

Superior design and excellent functional features of the MaviGard detectors are the result of
the Research & Development work done using latest technological achievements in the fire
alarm industry. Detectors are produced with Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Detector PCB
is protected against electromagnetic interference with metal case and against corrosion by
minimizing contact with external medium. MG series detectors are compatible with all fire alarm
control panels, MGR series detectors are compatible with all 12V DC operating voltage security
alarm control panels. All detectors are provided with blue plastic cover, which protects detector
from dust, dirt etc. during construction and paint. Detectors are produced in white colour as
standard but, according to customer's choice, various colours are available. Also, detectors can
be provided with magnet-testing feature on customer's demand.

Rate of rise heat detector detects temperature change by two temperature-
sensitive thermistors. The detector can function either as a fixed heat

SD series conventional extinguishant panels have 3 extinguishant modes
('Disabled', 'Manual', and 'Automatic'), set by Extinguishant mode key
and which provide wide range of system applicability.
When fire alarm is received from single zone, fire alarm-related outputs
(fire alarm relay and alarm relay) and sounders are activated intermittently.
A zone can host up to 20 conventional fire detectors and unlimited
number of manual call points.
When Extinguishant mode key is set to 'Automatic' and fire alarm is
received from 2 zones or when a System release button is pushed,
extinguishant circuit output is activated. When Extinguishant mode key
is set to 'Manual', extinguishant circuit output can be activated only by
pushing System release button.
In 'Automatic' mode a delay can be set by Delay key to activation of
extinguishant circuit, extinguishant relay and delaying relay outputs. If
during the delay Abort button is pushed or panel is set to 'Disable'
mode the extinguishant circuit output activation is cancelled. Pushing
System release button triggers extinguishant circuit output activation
without delay set by the Delay key.
In 'Manual' mode, the Delay key does not have any function.
Extinguishant circuit output activation can be cancelled during the delay
by pushing the Abort button.
During the delay, sounders and extinguishant indicator act intermittently,
after the Extinguishant circuit output is activated, sounders and
extinguishant indicator act continuously.
Abort' button can be mounted at any place in the area. Abort button
line is supervised for open and short circuit faults. These faults are
represented on front panel by 'Abort button fault' indicator.
System release button can be mounted at any place in the area. System
release button line is supervised for open and short circuit faults. These
faults are represented on front panel by 'Release button fault' indicator.
Extinguishant circuit is continuously supervised for open and short
circuit faults. The fault conditions are represented on front panel by
'Extinguishant output fault' indicator.
Sounder output can host up to 16 MaviGard electronic sounders or 8
electronic sounder strobes.
The panel is equipped with switched mode power supply and an
electronic charger circuit limiting the ampere level. Power supply
provides continuous monitoring of the charge level and automatic
charger cut facility, when charging is finished. If the battery level falls
under operating voltage level, the control panel automatically goes off.

The panel has 2 digit display, which shows the zone number, where
fire, gas and/or fault alarm is detected. The panel also has 8 indicators
for various fault conditions.
The installation of the control panel does not require changing the
already installed field devices.
The 8 and 16 zone MaviGard combined gas and fire alarm control
panels have the same size.
All panels are available as surface mounting with back and/or top of
the casing cable entries.
The zones can be disabled when necessary. This may be required during
maintenance work on site, which may cause faulty operation of the
fire and gas alarm control system.
The test mode of the panel enables the system to be tested single-
handed. On test mode, alarm signal automatically resets after a few
seconds to eliminate the need for returning to the control panel to
reset the system.
The panels use two 12V DC 2.1Ah batteries. If the battery voltage falls
under operating level, the control panel automatically goes off.

Natural gas detectors (methane)
Methane is an explosive hydrocarbon gas. It is lighter than air and rises
to the ceiling in case of leakage. Therefore, the gas detector should be
placed 5-15cm below the ceiling and 1-2m horizontally within the
range of possible gas leakage. The detectors respond audibly and
visually before the leakage reaches 20% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).
LPG detectors (propane + butane)
LPG is an explosive hydrocarbon gas consisting of butane and propane.
It is heavier than air and sinks to the floor in case of leakage. Therefore,
the gas detector should be placed 15-25cm above the floor and within
1-2m horizontally within the range of possible gas leakage. MaviGard
gas detectors respond audibly and visually before the leakage reaches
20% LEL.
Carbon monoxide detectors
Carbon monoxide is a toxic and explosive gas with density nearly equal
to air. Therefore, the carbon monoxide detectors should be placed 1-
1.5m above the floor and 1-2m horizontally within the range of possible
gas leakage. Carbon monoxide detectors should not be placed outside
buildings, behind or inside cupboards, where air circulation is low, in
damp or humid places, above fuel burning appliances and places with
low or high temperatures. MaviGard carbon monoxide gas detectors
respond audibly and visually when the carbon monoxide concentration
reaches 50ppm (parts of gas per million part of air).

MG-5100 Conventional manual call point
Manual call points are activated by manual breaking of the film-coated
glass. When the glass is broken, the switch, normally resting on glass
edge, changes position and retains it till new glass is installed. The glass
does not harm fingers because of the film. The manual call points have
EN 54-11 and SSPB (Russia) certified and approved by Kazakhstan,
Oman and UAE Civil Defence authorities.
MG-3500 Universal mounting base
The bases are compatible with both MG-2000 series conventional and
MG-9000 series analogue addressable detectors. Remote indicator
output is standard for MG series detectors. Universal mounting base
has Ni-Cd coated corrosion-proof clamp type contacts. Bases are SSPB
(Russia) certified and approved by Kazakhstan, Oman and UAE Civil
Defence authorities.
MG-4000 Remote indicator with MG-4100 Surface mounting box
Remote indicators help identify the alarm location by matching the
triggered detector placed above false ceiling or rooms. Remote indicators
are SSPB (Russia) certified and approved by Kazakhstan, Oman and UAE
Civil Defence authorities.
MG-3600 Recessed mounting base
Recessed mounting base is used for mounting conventional as well as
analogue addressable detectors on false ceilings of various types (metal,
plaster etc.). The base allows creating more aesthetic architectural
applications. Bases are produced from ABS and have the same colour
as detectors. Bases are flush-mounted into the ceiling with two cramps
and stainless steel screws. Bases are SSPB (Russia) certified and approved
by Kazakhstan, Oman and UAE Civil Defence authorities.
Power supplies
MG-7050 and MG-7080 switched mode power supplies have 2.5A and
4A 24V DC output current respectively. The power supplies perform
continuous fault monitoring (earth, batteries, 24V DC, 220V mains fail
etc.). Power supplies have microprocessor based design. MG/PS-125
power supply has 24V DC 1.25A output and performs fault monitoring
of batteries and mains power supply. The power supplies are EN 54-4
certified and approved by Kazakhstan, Oman and UAE Civil Defence
authorities.
MG-5000 Electronic sounder
Sounder is mounted so that an audible alarm of 75dB can be heard at
every part of the protected area. The maximum audible signal power of
the sounder is 105dB(A) 24V DC at 1metre distance. The sounders are
SSPB (Russia) certified and approved by Kazakhstan, Oman and UAE
Civil Defence authorities.
MG-5200 Electronic sounder strobe
The strobe has both audible and visual alarm features. The sounder is
mounted 2 metres above the floor and so that the audible alarm of 75dB
can be heard at every part of the protected area. The maximum audible
signal power of the sounder is 105dB(A) 24V DC at 1metre distance.
The strobe has 3W power and a flash rate of 150/min. The sounder
strobes are SSPB (Russia) certified and approved by Kazakhstan, Oman
and UAE Civil Defence authorities.
MG-5400 Fire Alarm Bell (6 inch)
The bell is designed to meet requirements of superior performance with
low current consumption. It can be installed directly onto a wall or by
use of any standard mounting box. A built-in varistor suppression element
is incorporated to micro-motor unit of the bell to reduce EMI and RFI
effects. The bell is well-suited to various indoor and outdoor applications,
where strong audible warning is required, such as schools, apartments,
hospitals, office buildings, corridors and hotels.
